Redefining the Good Life
EP 24: Rewilding, or the search for resilience (interview with Peter Michael Bauer)
“I don’t worry too much about collapse anymore because I trust in the process.”
— Peter Michael Bauer
Today’s episode tackles that big question: can you think about the end of civilization AND still be an optimist? 😅
I’m super excited to bring you my interview with none other than Peter Michael Bauer, a renowned leader of the human rewilding movement.
For Peter, rewilding can be described as finding a relationship of reciprocity with our environments once again, just like we humans lived for 3 million years or more. It is a search for resilience as a community that goes beyond just individual efforts like eating Paleo or donning barefoot shoes.
Rewilding isn't just a “nice to have” — finding a place where our level of disturbance on this planet is balanced by our level of regeneration is essential if we want to find our way out of the sixth mass extinction that is currently under way.
In this fascinating conversation, we talk about how focusing on building resilience rather than coming from fear is the KEY to move forward.
You don't want to miss this one!
