Redefining the Good Life
EP 45: What I've learned about love
(The podcast is going on summer hiatus! Please enjoy this final episode, share it widely if you feel inspired, and talk to you in September!)
Today's episode is a bit of a personal one.
Iโve recently gone through an intense period of growth when it comes to love and relationships.
And today, Iโm debunking all kinds of common ideas about love, such as:
๐ The connection is what matters most.
๐ It is a matter of meeting the right person.
๐ Love is bound to make us suffer.
๐ The fact that a relationship ends means that itโs failed.
๐ Emotional drama is whatโs needed to keep the spark aliveโฆ
Our culture is rife with misunderstandings about romantic relationships.
The problem is, these keep us stuck and repeating the same mistakes with partner after partner.
But it is possible to put a stop to your old patterns and create something far healthier, more solid and more beautiful, regardless of what happened in your past.
All the work we do โโโof getting to know our habituated patterns, strengthening our relationship to ourselves, creating safety withinโฆ all that work is also the indispensable work of love.
It is indispensable for becoming emotionally available to let another in.
Tune in to find out how to overcome your misconceptions about love and what it takes to create that deep, loving partnership your heart is yearning for. ๐
